Nu Dawn Productions is an independent film company (formed in 2006), that was developed for the purpose of not only providing audiences with dynamic, creative, and thought provoking films and entertainment, but to provide new and aspiring actors with a place to start their careers in the entertainment industry. We at Nu Dawn Productions view our company as a “door of opportunity,” where actors of all age groups can reach for and secure that one needed break they often times need to launch their careers to the next level. We pride ourselves in finding and showcasing previously undiscovered talent – talent that is worthy of being ranked among the best on the A-list, as we tirelessly strive to introduce new faces to the entertainment industry.
Our experienced and dedicated crew of writers, producers, and production support staff all work in unison with one goal in mind – to aid in the continued development of an original company that operates under the dual interest of creating educational, entertaining videos, commercials and films, and to provide a place where new and experienced actors alike can come and make their dreams a reality.

Julian Wilson
Executive Producer
Julian began his career in 1996, soon after graduating from college - starting out as a writer.He earned his living writing articles and stories for a number of small newspapers and magazines, and soon thereafter found himself transforming his stories into documentary-style teleplays and short screenplays.Having received his education in Fine Arts, his knowledge and experience prepared him well for work in the entertainment industry.In 2005, after writing and directing a series of short videos and commercials, Julian wrote, produced, and directed a 30-minute variety show (12 episodes / Five Point Entertainment) called “The Zone” – a show that highlighted local business, cultural, and entertainment news in Bakersfield, California.As one of the founders of Nu Dawn Productions, Julian brings a vision to the company that embraces the idea of using film and entertainment to help and motivate not only those individuals who work in the industry, but to provoke, awaken, and inspire the audiences who view our productions.
Debra Plante
Writer / Producer
Debra, co-founder of Nu Dawn Productions, began writing at the age of seventeen.Over the years, Debra developed a writing style that encompasses an “out of the box,” multi-dimensional originality that leaves no doubt that there is so much more for all of us to experience on the screen.Despite Debra’s immeasurable talent, her greatest strength lies in her desire to use her time and energy to help those who seek to establish a career (and realize their dreams) in the entertainment industry.She believes that everyday represents a new day for everyone, and she brings a philosophy and energy to Nu Dawn Productions that unites all types of talent, writers, and producers – bringing them all together to create fresh, new, and exciting productions that are relevant, marketable, and certain to please all audiences.
